Since he was born, Riwia’s baby brother, Tawa, has been in Auckland Hospital, and his family has come to stay in Auckland. While Riwia goes to school and Dad works as a cook, Mum stays with Tawa. Their Aunty Sue’s house is full, and renting is expensive, so Riwia and her parents live in a van, the Stargazer, in the park. Sometimes it’s scary at night when people shout at them in the park, but the weekend is good when they go to Aunty Sue’s and Dad cooks a boil-up and they all have a shower. But Tawa is getting sicker, and he dies. The family travels back to Te Teko, taking Tawa to the marae for his tangi and burial. Riwia learns about the journey Tawa’s spirit will make to farewell Aotearoa and join the waka of stars that gathers the spirits of the dead. And at Matariki, the family remembers Tawa and gathersto see his spirit burning brightly as a star.

FREIGHT AND HANDLING CHARGES

Our New Zealand-wide standard shipping option for CBD and residential addresses costs a flat fee of $10, unless your order includes an item that is large or heavy, then additional shipping charges will be specified in the product description.

IMPORTANT! Due to the size, weight or fragility of some items, a $25 shipping rate will be applied at checkout. THIS ITEM MUST BE ORDERED SEPARATE FROM OTHER ITEMS as in YOU WILL NEED TO DO TWO ORDERS. Where possible we will combine them into the same parcel, which means you would not be charged for two lots of shipping. PLEASE EMAIL or CALL US in this situation.

Our New Zealand-wide rural delivery option costs a flat fee of $15, unless your order includes an item that is large or heavy, then additional shipping charges will be specified in the product description. 

We do have some items that are so heavy or fragile that we have made them pick-up only items. Sometimes we are able to help package them if you'd like to arrange your own carrier, but not all items are easily packaged or covered by carrier insurance, so please call us to discuss prior to placing the order.

    Orders are delivered by NZ Couriers and require a signature upon delivery. Please make sure the delivery address is where someone can sign for the delivery. If no one is home when delivery is attempted a card will be left advising the date and time of attempted delivery. One more attempt will be made to deliver your order, after that you will be required to pick it up from your nearest NZ Couriers office. Please make sure you bring ID with you when picking up the parcel, otherwise it will not be released.

    Under normal circumstances your order will be dispatched within 2 business days and arrive within a week. Please note that your order may be sent in more than one parcel.

    Dispatch and delivery days are Monday to Friday.

    Please be aware that some isolated regions may require additional delivery time. If this is the case for your area we will notify you of this prior to processing your order. We cannot deliver to Post Office Boxes or Private Boxes. We do not deliver outside New Zealand, however orders may still be placed from overseas with a New Zealand delivery address.

    CANCELLING YOUR ORDER

    If you wish to cancel your order please contact us at 06 355 4540 or michelle@inspiremeonline.co.nz as soon as possible.

    If you cancel before your order is dispatched you will receive a full refund.

    However, if the goods have already been sent to you, at the time of cancellation, you will not be able to cancel your order. You will need to follow the returns process and your shipping charges will not be refunded.

    HOW TO RETURN A PRODUCT

    If your order arrives and you decide that it’s ‘not you’, we are happy to exchange it for another product of the same value (please bear in mind that additional shipping charges will apply). If you would like to return a product please contact us on 06 355 4540 between 9.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday or email michelle@inspiremeonline.co.nz to arrange this. Please make sure you have your order details handy.

    IF WE’VE SENT YOU A FAULTY PRODUCT

    We apologise if you have received a product that is faulty, and while we do our best to ensure that all products we sell are in good condition when they leave our store, there is always a risk that we’ll miss something and we sincerely regret any inconvenience this causes. You are welcome to an exchange or refund and we ask that you contact us on 06 355 4540 between 9.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday or email michelle@inspiremeonline.co.nz within 7 days of receiving the order. Please make sure you have your order details handy.

    IF WE’VE SENT YOU THE WRONG PRODUCT

    We apologise if we’ve sent you the wrong product, and sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause. Please contact us immediately on 06 355 4540 between 9.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday or email michelle@inspiremeonline.co.nz and we will send the item you originally ordered and arrange for pick-up of the incorrect item we sent at the same time.

    DAMAGED PRODUCT

    If you suspect your product has been damaged during delivery please keep all original packaging as our courier will collect the entire package, and will need to inspect it. Please contact us on 06 355 4540 between 9.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday or email michelle@inspiremeonline.co.nz within 7 days, and we will make arrangements with the courier to collect. We will endeavour to send you a replacement as soon as possible.

    OUT OF STOCK ITEMS

    We are a small business and our Inspire Me Store in Palmerston North is also our warehouse. While we do our best to ensure that our stock levels are correct, we sometimes find that the system says we have more of something than we actually do (e.g. shoplifting).
