THIS IS NOT A PITY PARTY, BUT…
I’ve been head down bum up for the last wee while unpacking and processing new stock onto the website, as well as trying to get our little operation set up and organised for when we launch.
And speaking of LAUNCH, I’m aiming for 1st August, which may seem like a long way out, but to me, its zooming up really fast, and to be honest there are days, actually mostly nights, because I’m too busy during the day, where I feel myself slipping into overwhelm, at all I need to get done. Underneath most of it is one question I keep coming back to: how do I replicate the feel of Inspire Me that everyone loved, on a website? That's the thing that gets me most, if I'm honest.
The rest is just logistics…
• What the hell am I doing?
• There’s still so much to do, and not enough hours in the day…
• Will people be disappointed in the size of the range, compared with what was available instore, even though I’ve already loaded more than 400 products.
• Will I be able to find a business who’ll act as a ‘click & collect’ place for people to collect their orders, and how much will that cost?
• Is this going to work???
I could go on, but I guess I hadn’t realised how lonely it might feel, going from having Viv, Liv and Soul to share the load with every day, just as other Earth Angels have throughout the years. I don’t have them to bounce ideas off now, so its often just me talking to myself, which I’m finding can be rather unhelpful sometimes.
I also miss the connection with all my wonderful customers at the shop, particularly the regulars, and here on Facebook, I get a little of that back, connecting in this way.
Peter’s so incredibly supportive in practical ways, Acts of Service is his love language, and if you’ve read the 5 Love Languages, you’ll know what I mean. But the reality is, this isn't his thing, it never has been, and I don’t expect it to be. I love it that he tries to sound interested, but I feel a bit bad about that too.
Thanks for listening, if you’re still reading, and please know that I’ll be fine, and I’m working on my ability to continue having Faith and Trust in myself and the decisions I make, and that the Universe/God has always got my back, even when it doesn’t necessarily feel like it.
Namaste
Michelle
