Kiwi Ceramic Trivet - Dressed for the Bush, Ready for Anything

Not your average national icon. This kiwi has traded a life of shy, nocturnal foraging for a rainbow bucket hat and a pair of glasses that suggest either very poor eyesight or very good taste — either way, she's spotted her fair share of toadstools and doesn't care who knows it. Flanked by butterflies in every colour the forest could muster and framed by that unmistakable long beak, she's equal parts bush-dweller and garden party guest.

The real kiwi is famously private — flightless, nocturnal, and about as elusive as New Zealand wildlife gets, so much so that most Kiwis (the human kind) go a lifetime without spotting one in the wild. She's a national taonga, protected and treasured, appearing on everything from the dollar coin to the nickname for an entire country. This version, though, isn't hiding from anyone. Kitted out among red-and-white spotted mushrooms and a scatter of wildflowers, she's leaned all the way into main-character energy.

A cheeky, whimsical bit of Kiwiana for the kitchen table — equal parts native pride and pure fun. Finished with a cork backing to protect the surfaces beneath.

  • Dimensions: 20 x 20cm. All measurements are approximate.
  • Material: Ceramic with cork backing

Please ensure you select the correct shipping option at checkout before you make your payment.

Our New Zealand-wide standard shipping option including rural delivery costs a flat fee of $10. We also offer Click & Collect from the NZ Couriers Depot in Palmerston North for a flat fee of $3 - considerably less than they charge us.

Unsure of your postcode? You can check your shipping address HERE to check the suburb or town and get the postcode.

Orders are delivered by NZ Couriers and require a signature upon delivery. Please make sure the delivery address is where someone can sign for the delivery. Please be aware that some isolated regions may require additional delivery time. If this is the case for your area we will notify you of this prior to processing your order. We cannot deliver to Post Office Boxes or Private Boxes. We do not deliver outside New Zealand, however orders may still be placed from overseas with a New Zealand delivery address.
